How to get a Blue Peter badge and 12 Great attractions near Cheltenham…

Did you know that if your child has a Blue Peter badge and the accompanying card, they can gain free entry to over 200 attractions across the UK? There are 8 different badges, most of which can be applied for online, by filling in a simple form and attaching photographic evidence.

There’s the classic blue badge and the gold badge, both of which can only be applied by post. Then there’s the green badge, the silver badge, the purple badge, the music badge, the sport badge, the orange badge and the brand new book badge which has been designed by Quentin Blake himself! All of those can be applied for online.

Unsurprisingly, the badges are extremely popular, so it can take up to 12 weeks for your child’s to arrive. Do keep this in mind when planning your visits. You will also need to stick a passport sized photo to your child’s card when it arrives (this doesn’t have to be a specific passport photo, that’s just the size it needs to be cut to). Accompanying adults still have to pay for their entry to these attractions, but you may be able to get further discounts if you have a Blue Light card, a student card or similar.
