A delicious day out at Cadbury World…

Based in Birmingham, just under an hour from Cheltenham, Cadbury World is a unique, family friendly day out complete with free chocolate! There’s plenty to learn and plenty of fun to be had, so whatever you’re looking for from a day trip, Cadbury World should fit the bill.

Book online for Cadbury World and arrive approximately 30 minutes before your entry time, to allow for queuing. When you reach the front of the queue, make sure you have a bag ready, as you will be given three, free bars of chocolate for each person in your party! These came in handy as our slot was at lunch time and the bars kept certain people (me, ok, it’s me) from entering hangry territory!

Your route through the exhibit is clearly marked, you move through different zones, learning about the history of Cadbury and chocolate as a whole. There are some interactive exhibits, such as quizzes and dance mats, which the children loved. They especially enjoyed the 4D chocolate adventure and the little Cadabra ride.

There is a Cadbury cafe on site, where you can book in for a sumptuous afternoon tea or drop by for a hot chocolate. You will also find a factory shop, where you can buy discounted treats or buy your favourites in bulk.

Two children have fun climbing on the crunch monster truck at Cadbury World.

Outside, you will find a large picnic area where you can eat your own food or that bought from the snack shack next to the adventure play area. We also enjoyed a game of table tennis and the children loved playing on the various Cadbury vehicles too!

At today’s prices, a family of four booking in for a specified time slot would pay £63 or £93 for anytime tickets (if you’re not sure what time you will get there). Cadbury World do have a range of cheaper tickets if you able to visit mid week or you are a student. You can also bundle entry to Cadbury World with entry to other Birmingham based attractions, such as Sealife.

Do keep an eye out for offers though, this summer we used a promotional offer from Visit Britain and The National Lottery to gain entry for £15.80 for all four of us! It’s not currently running, but they did it a couple of times last year, so hopefully they will offer it again before too long.

So with half term coming up, why not add Cadbury World to your list of excursions or if you have pre schoolers at home, why not take advantage of their adult and toddler offer and beat the crowds now!
